German Humor

I didnt really get the gist of what Frau Lang was trying to say with the joke about the 3 types of Germans . When it comes to sense of humor in Europe i would say that the French ,Spanish and Italians are really the best . Well the German ,the only thing that makes me laugh about them is their Grammar . Somehow ,it might be interesting and a reality but when the Germans speak ,you must not disturb them because you would never get the gist ,their grammatical rule indicates that the modal/trenbarren verb would always be place to last part of our sentence . I guess we would know how to annoy our German Friends . Of course the number of Beer company in their country ,its really funny to think that a country would have 3000 plus beer company , i mean thats really unique in Europe , i guess the Germans are the Worlds number 1 beer loving country in the world .But i find a lot of Germans nice ,i guess by coincidence , i mean the friends of Cara ,i never knew that their purpose here in the country would be to help with Gawad Kalinga and Frau Lang ,who is such a wonderful person to talk to .Uhmm what else ,well it doesnt really matter even if the Germans dont really have a sense of humor , i guess they would always have the last laugh , since their country is just one of the most developed in Europe .

In Juli Reaction Paper

Well ,uhmm compare to some Filipino romantic comedy , i would say , this film would be better .I am not really a fan of Romantic films ,but at least somehow i kind a enjoy watching it .Frau Arroyo ,already mention that this film has something to do with Cultural Ties between Germans and Turks . I didnt really get the gist but all i can say is that the Film shows the boom of Turkish immigrants to Germany in the 90's .Well in the Film ,a particularly Turkish character there tells our Protagonist how much his family badly wanted to Move to Germany ,perhaps economic reasons , i guess the film is biased for the Germans hahaha since it is a German who made it .As far as i know ,Turkey has been lobbying for EU membership but it might never happen because the EU has strict policy in Womens Right and Islamic country usually has bad records with it even the most Modern one such as Turkey wouldnt really compensate with it . Going back to the point ,Somehow the film help us in learning the pronounciations and ofcourse we learn some German Slang words which i have forgotten .Perhaps another thing that this film would show is the imperfection of Europe . Well as people who live in the developing world we always have this perception that Europe is a semi perfect country ,for instance the Guy that tried to Rape Juli , Drugs and Romania which seems to be left behind in the progress of most European Countries . I would really prefer good bye lenin more but atleast this film is intresting and fun because of those Humors

Autoevaluation

I have to be honest , i have been slacking off this term . I have not been studying and been lazy . Even in the first long exam ,i never study and yet i pass because Frau Arroyo is such a nice and good teacher . As i promised in the first activity i would only refer to traditional study methods of reading and also conversing with German Major friends .But i havnt actually chat with them .But if there's one positive thing that i can say is that , i am enjoying the class . From discovering english derivatives of some german words and from learning some lessons about German lessons , waking up at 830 am is worth . I do agree that people nowadays are so competitive ,all they care about is grades ,well ofcourse grades matters but me , i believe that it should be passion .Even if i fail this course ,atleast i have fun and learn something .Well maybe i'll change in German 11 ,will see . Even this blog needs improvement . Ah ,a new resolution , perhaps i'll be more consistent in updating my blog .

Good bye Lenin

After watching that film ,i realized that its not only the french ,Italian and the Spaniards who makes great film in Europe .Germans do make good films particularly about their history .I use to study international relations and i am aware of the situation that was shown . I am aware that the Soviets where able to capture the eastern part of Germany and i even recalled the fear of the Nazi soldiers during the latter days of the war ,that they would rather choose to be captured by the Americans .Although the film is a cliche' , i felt a strong emotion for it somehow . I felt how much a son would show his love for his mother inspite of the bad conditions that happened . I also find the film as a good example of a political satire . Imagine ,comedy as a medium to explain the errors of the Soviet regime in Germany ,how the arrival of Burger king and Coca Cola would make a big difference in Berlin or how hard it would be to search for that pickle company that once monopolized the market and that Superstar Astraunaut who would just be a taxi driver ,funny isnt it .Although i find it as an observation that european loves narration compare to their counter parts . It seems that in every european film that i watch ,i always hear the voice of the protagonist ,well at least they do know how to make Art . I am thankful that Frau Arroyo gave me the opportunity to watch those type of film . I guess the movie is a example of how rich the culture of Germany was once .
